This all-round winter tyre is available from the tyre trade in a wide range of sizes, approved for speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph) and suitable for rim diameters up to 17". The size range has been further extended for this coming winter.

The SnoVanis, part of the Barum product range, is a safe winter tyre for MPVs and light vans. It offers high mileage performance and is available from the tyre trade for 14" to 16" rims.

The Barum Polaris 2 - approved for speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph)

The Barum Polaris 2 is a particularly economical all-round winter tyre. Its tread pattern features stepped and wave-shaped sipes that offer good grip and lateral guidance on snow- and ice-covered roads. Deep, circumferentially-orientated tread grooves quickly pick up water and disperse it sideways via tread channels. This makes the Barum Polaris 2 a safe winter tyre at an economical price. With the Polaris 2 V version, Barum has a winter tyre in its portfolio that is approved for speeds of up to 240 km/h (150 mph). What makes the V version of this winter tyre different from the standard tyre is the reinforced sipe links in the shoulder lugs and the larger raised base sections in the sipes in the middle of the tread lugs. Both features are designed to reduce material movement at high speeds and to ensure high stability when cornering. In addition, a special silica compound is used which provides extra driving stability, good winter characteristics and safe driving performance even in the wet. All this makes the Barum Polaris 2 V a fast, safe and economical tyre option for winter use.

The SnoVanis

The main features of the new, economically-priced SnoVanis are its safe driving characteristics in wintry conditions, coupled with high mileage performance. The high sipe density of this tyre means improved traction in snow and ice, with wide circumferential lateral grooves quickly dispersing slush and water. The computer-optimised arrangement of the tread lugs provides a comfortable ride with low noise levels. High tread stiffness ensures best driving stability. The tyre boasts a high mileage performance, thanks to the offset central ribs in the tread pattern, plus the flat contour, which also reduces tyre wear.
